In this investigation, the combustion and production of pollutant in a 300MW boiler were simulated through the software—FLUENT 6. Based on analysis and model, some conclusions were drawn.(1) the distribution characteristics of velocity, temperature, the concentration of O2 and NOx in boiler when the boiler running at design condition (designed coal, 100% load, normal coal particle size);(2) the influence of load on the distribution characteristics of velocity, temperature, the concentration of O2 and NOx in boiler;(3)the influence of different coals on the distribution characteristics of velocity, temperature, the concentration of O2 and NOx in boiler;(4) the influence of the size of coal particle, especially supper fine particles, on the distribution characteristics of velocity, temperature, the concentration of O2 and NOx in boiler. In a word, this study provides some suggestions for the economical running, safe operation, and how to decrease the release the NOx for power plant.
