With the development of reusable launch vehicles, the thermal protection system has been oriented by the idea of incorporate design which involves thermal protection - structure - thrust system. At the same time, the weight proportion of thermal protection system has been reduced, but the working temperature of thermal protection system has been increased. That is to say, the thermal protection structure should be developed ceaselessly. Usually the sandwich structure is an ideal choice for the advantage that it is designable and multifunctional. However, at present, the categories of sandwich structure are still to be increased, and the technology is still to be developed. So the designable folded Structure is a potential choice in thermal protection for its special structure.In this research, the basal thermodynamic characteristics of "V-type" folded structure were discussed .At first by using numerical calculation in ANSYS, the paper analyses the influence of six basal configuration parameters of the structure on effective thermal conductivities of 54 kinds of sandwich panel with and its rule of change. And reasons are analyzed theoretically. Then, by iSIGHT, experiment designs are redesigned of 40 kinds of different "V-type" folded core. Based on the above, a surrogate models are built for thermal conductibility performance of sandwich panel with "V-type" folded core in this paper, and they can be optimized by multi-subject. The numerical simulation function and optimization design method in condition of lightest weight are shown in this paper. The results of numerical simulation and optimization are great helps for thermal impedance design of sandwich structure design in engineering.
