According to the theory of Furey, span-80/dimer acid and monoester of dimer acid/glycol respectively, as the lubricant additives, were added to base oil applying on the surface of ceramic or iron, to study the wear reducing effect and the mechanism of wear decrease. The results show great effectiveness of reducing wear, and can explain Furey's theory in other ways.In order to improved the data accuracy of the pin-on-disk tester, the bolt was pasted with the ceramic or iron ball together by the epoxy; the container holding base oil was changed to decrease its volume and be fixed in another way.The tribological tests were carried out, span-80/dimer acid as the...
