The goals of this work are to produce RuO2 on Ta foil and study the effects of some important parameters on the performances of as-produced electrode. The electrode is produced by two means, one is powder-coated, another is CV, physical and electrochemical properties of the electrodes are tested and analyzed here.The former electrode is manufactured in two steps. First, amorphous hydrated RuO2 power is made from stuff RuCl3·nH2O in colloidal way. Then the power is mixed with adhesive and conductive agent, coated on Ta foil by heat-press. The effect of amorphous hydrated RuO2 power production is discussed here, including: selection and ratio of solvent, selection and concentration of precipitator, terminal pH of titration and anneal temperature and time of colloid. Research indicated that terminal pH and anneal temperature are the most important influence factors on physical and electrochemical properties of amorphous hydrated RuO2 power. The conjoint affection of RuO2 power on Ta foil is also discussed here, including: selection and ratio of adhesive, selection and ratio of conductive agent, temperature and time of heat-press treatment of electrode. Research indicated that temperature and time of heat-press treatment of electrode have the most effect on electrochemical properties of as-produced electrode.The latter electrode is made by a 3-electrode system with CV voltage .in the system, Ta foil is acted as the working electrode, a Pt foil as the assistant electrode and Ag/AgCl electrode as the reference electrode. stuff RuCl3·nH2O is confected into electrolyte. after electrolyzing with CV voltage, Ru ion can deposit on Ta foil in the fashion of hydrated Ru compound. The condition of electrolyte preparation, the setup of instrument exporting CV voltage, the influence of co-deposition Ir composition, the treatment of Ta foil surface and annealing treatment of electrode are studied. The mechanism of Ru compound deposition is discussed meantime. In the step of electrolyte confection, concentration of RuCl3, pH of solution, static duration and temperature of solution are all effect factors of the result of electroplate. among these factors, pH of solution is the uppermost factor; In the step of searching for the favorite employing condition of the CV instrument, potential window is confirmed by theory and experiment. besides, scan rate and cycle period also affect the result; co-deposition of dualistic oxide is a focus of research, as an element in the same group, Ir is selected. Deposition rate of composition is decreased by the adding of Ir composition, and when the proportion of Ir exceeded 50%, composition procession can be ceased. but cooperation of Ir and Ru oxide can highly increase the specific capacitance of active material; annealing treatment under a certain temperature can help to change the hydrate Ru composition into mixture state Ru oxide, accordingly increase the stabilization of active material.
