Recently, rapid progress has been made in the research on lithium-ion battery due to its superior performance, such as higher gravimetric energy and power density, good safety, excellent cycleability, no pollution and a wider temperature application, etc.. These properties, however, are greatly affected by the selection and preparation of the materials, such as the cathode and anode electrode materials, the electrolytes and the separators. At present, cathode and anode material synthesis and electrochemistry performance research are nearly mature and perfect, but a little attention is paid to the electrolyte. The electrolyte is an important ingredient for the lithium-ion battery which composed of the lithium salt and the solvent. Organic solvent is an important constituent of the electrolyte and it plays an important role to dissolve the electrolyte lithium salt. Because the single solvent often cannot meet the requirement in the performance, seeking new outstanding performance solvents (including additives), or obtaining the multi-components solvent mixing the different solvent at the certain proportion together can optimize the solvent physical chemistry performance, the performance of these solvents is better than the single solvent's.In this paper, in order to study the influence of electrolyte to the lithium-ion battery performance, we assembled the lithium-ion battery using the different electrode material (LiMn2O4, LiCoO2 and natural graphite) and the electrolytes which were mainly composed of LiPF6 as the electrolyte lithium salt and the different solvents (including additives) which were mixed according to the certain proportion. The content mainly includes three parts as follow:(1) The study of the performance of the LiPF6-EC/MPC electrolyte.
