The article elucidated the regional geo-environment and engineering geology conditions of spillway slope. Firstly the growth characters of II III IV V structure surface which control the rock mass structure of spillway slope was analyzed. Rockmass quality of spillway slope was classified by CSMR, and the study on Three-dimensional numerical modeling of rockmass transmogrification and stability was carried out Advice on treatment of spillway slope in engineering was brought forward.(l)This area was suffered from erosion and disconformity between the end of Sinian and the end of Permian. Paleo-weathering crust was formed at limestone of Sinian, and distributing at the riverside of Hemenkou dam.(2)The unfavorable rock mass was not formed by II III structure surface of spillway slope. Highly weathered rock took on loosen structure mosaic structure, weakly weathered rock took on mosaic structure, fresh rock took on mass structure. The rockmass quality of slope was not good. Highly weathered rock was mainly IV-V rock mass, weakly weathered was mainly III_A-III_B rock mass.(3)The distortion destruction types of spillway natural slope mainly were wriggle(slipping) ripping type, falling-ripping type, landslip type. Distortion and dangerous rock mass is distributed in the area at 1000m which lithology is limestone of Sinian and breccia of Permian. The paleo-weathering crust control distortion and destruction of spillway rock mass.(4)The result of FLAC Three-dimensional model of spillway slope indicated: the whole spillway slope is stable, but there are high value of shear strain increment at the area which is distributed the paleo-weathering crust and the faultage of spillway slope.
