With the development of new power electronic component and computer technology, the variable-frequency technology of AC asynchronous motor has been developed fast. The operation speed of computers is continually increasing and the execute-instruction speed is up to a very high level. Application of advanced microprocessor technique makes complex arithmetic possible for real-time system. With recent exploration and application, the speed control ability of AC asynchronous motor has been well developed comparable to DC speed control system.The rotor field oriented control has brought essential advance in the AC speed control system. Further, sensorless asynchronous motor drive promotes the simplicity and robustness of the system. Therefore, the sensorless field-oriented control (FOC) technology is a branch of motion control. The study target of this thesis is to realize speed-sensorless vector control system of asynchronous motor. The study focuses on control method and estimation of rotor speed and flux of asynchronous motor.
