To meet the requirement of high-load, large volume rate, low noise centrifugal pump, more and more pump producing companies are going to use high tech in the development of high performance pump. In recent years, with the development of CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics),it has become an important research direction to use CFD to study the mechanism of the flow in the pump and then optimize the design by simulation. The new method has the characteristics of high efficiency, low cost, and could been used repeatedly. This paper takes one design of 150GYS160-32 tube-flow centrifugal electrical pump for example. It disperses the runner field of whole pump with non-structural grid technology, and analyses the inner flow under different work conditions, based on which a curve of external characteristics is calculated.
