Simulation Analysis And Test Of ISL In The Second Generation CTDRS System

The TDRSS (Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System) is a system which can supply the data relay and TT&C (Telemetry Tracking and Command) service for the aircraft which are low and middle earth orbit and other aircrafts, aircraft and earth station. The inter-link of TDRSS contained forward link and return link. The forward link is the signal retransmitted from earth station to relay satellite, then transmitted the TT&C to the user aircraft. The return link is that the signal retransmitted from the user aircraft to relay satellite, then transmitted the signal to the earth station.The project'Simulation and Test of the Second Generation CTDRS'was taken as the scientific research background in this paper, and the background and purpose of this project were taken as the leading line, the subject research present situation in the domestic and foreign were elaborated, the characteristic and advantages of ISL(Inter-satellite link) simulation design adopting STK(Satellite Tool Kits) software , then the simulation results supported by Matlab and STK were analyzed. In the previous research, the studies were all about analyzing the effect of constellation parameters to ISL geometric parameters. The variation of ISL geometric parameters when the constellation parameters was certain was analyzed in this paper. The ISL geometric parameters of inter-satellite distance variance rate, ISL azimuth variance and elevation angle variance are included.First, the structure of the second generation CTDRS ISL was discussed in this paper, the characteristic of coverage in the Second Generation CTDRS by the characteristic of orbit and the simulation model of ISL was analyzed then the effect of the ISL establishing process analyzed.Second, the discussing and analyzing focus on the characteristic of signal during the establishing ISL process, establishing the orbit model, the technology of doppler frequency shift capturing and tracking sequence and the effect of background noise, then the theory analyzing the parameters we have just mentioned, and this will support the reference for the implement of project.The simulation and test of the ISL of CTDRS and analyzing from theoretical basis to implement of simulation were mainly focused in this paper.
