Heart disease is one of the main diseases that menace human's health. Heart sounds auscultation is an important way of non-invasive examination of heart diseases,regardless of the latest advances in imaging techniques and electrocardiogram(ECG) auscultation is still the first routinely done cardiological examination. However,forming a diagnosis based on sounds heard through either a conventional acoustic stethoscope or an electronic one is itself a very special skill,and it may take years to acquire. Though electrocardiogram(ECG) is an important tool for diagnosis, it has some drawbacks like: cost of ECG equipment is high, special skill required to administer and interpret the results of ECG It would be very useful if the benefits of auscultation could be obtained with a simpler method, and using low-cost, easy to use equipment.In this thesis we report the design and testing of a digital auscultation which can be used for heart sound based diagnosis.On the base of analyzing of the relation between the heart disease and the heart sound murmurs, firstly the paper studied the collecting circuit. In this paper ,a detailed schematic circuit diagram and a soft flow are discribed. It can display heart sound signal wave directly through the LCD when stethoscoping the heart,and the wave can be drawn out in the horizontal direction and zoomed in or zoomed out in the vertical direction.In addition, the data can be transmit to PC machine.
