The use of biomass to produce energy is the most common form of renewable energy that can be utilized to reduce impact of energy production and use on the global environment. The reducing emission of SO_X, NO_X and ash are also obvious by efficiently utilized. One important way is to convert the biomass energy thermally, in which pyrolysis is regarded as a significant technology. The kinetic research is mainly studying on the reacting temperature, reacting and resident time of biomass pyrolysis. Detailed dynamic models have been demonstrated of physical and chemical processes of cellulosic material pyrolysis, to improve design and operation of chemical reactors for thermochemical biomass conversion.After a review of current pyrolysis research on mechanic and kinetic for biomass and related components, but the recent dynamic studies just depend on the model compounds, and we still don't know the biomass pyrolysis real mechanics.In order to make sure the real reaction mechanism and master the kinetic process, this thesis covers the experimental and model research. On the basis of component, ultimate and proximate analysis of biomass, we can summary the constituent characteristics of hard wood, soft wood and agricultural residue, so we can know biomass macrostructure more clearly. With the help of constituent data, the biomass component residue pyrolysis experiments were carried on TGA-FTIR system.Experimental results find out that cellulose samples extracted from different biomass have general chemical structure and pyrolysis characters. Then put natural cellulose as a model to study cellulose pyrolysis. On the basis of cellulose chemical structure and TGA-FTIR experimental data, we can analyze the pyrolysis products generated mechanism. The lignin materials are not model compound but separated and extracted from different kinds of biomass. The cellulose mechanic and kinetic research method occurs on the lignin as well as xylan. The pyrolysis of three typical biomass was analyzed on TGA-FTIR system, thermal results of which were contrasted on basis of distinct components content.In this thesis, the kinetic models of samples were brought forward and the dynamic parameters of the samples were obtained. The apparent dynamic parameters show that different biomass component content constitution is one of the most impact factors on biomass pyrolysis behavior. From cellulose, lignin and hemicullose pyrolysis and kinetic research, we can see each how to effects the whole biomass pyrolysis.
