Refrigeration technology and Air-Conditioning play an important role in the development of society. However, with the universal use of air-conditioning systems, a series of problems appear, among which the consuming of energy becomes the most distinguished one. At present, most air-conditioning systems are driven by electricity which is a kind of high-grade energy, which results in the lack of electric power in local areas. Therefore,it is necessary to search other refrigeration methods and calefaction manners.Thermoacoustic engines take advantage of thermoacoustic effect to actualize the transition of thermal energy and acoustic power. Compared with traditional mechanism, thermoacoustic engines have various advantages such as no pollution, simplicity, reliability, longevity and so on. Therefore, thermoacoustic engines have a promising application foreground in a lot of fields such as refrigeration and air-conditioning technology, space technology, the cooling of electronic devices, natural gas liquefaction, the separation and liquefaction of oil associated gas and so on. In 1994, Los Alamos National Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology and Cryenco company in the USA achieved great development in which part of the natural gas was burned to drive thermoacoustic driven pulse tube to liquefy the rest part. Unfortunately, such kind of research has not been studied in our country yet. Therefore, the experimental study of hybrid thermoacoustic engine driven by gas is developed in this dissertation to make preparations for the applications of thermoacoustic engines in air-conditioning systems. After a detailed review of the discovery of thermal effect, the development...
