Traditional heating systems, source of which are coal, gas and fuel boiler, have emerged some disadvantages such as environment pollution and low utilization ratio of energy. The research and development of new environment-protecting and energy-saving heating material have become one of problems of heating technology. Low temperature heat cable, source of which is electricity, has widely application and development in the heating system worldwide, which can avoid the disadvantages from traditional heating. With the development of electric industry of our country, the electric energy becomes affluence gradually. The electricity policy drawn by our country promotes the reformation to heating system by electricity. It has become one of questions to solve urgently that researching and developing low temperature radiation heating cable made in our country. The work in this paper develops of low temperature radiation heating cable, analyses thermal field under application environment, and affords theoretic basic for making the cable in our country.The development of low temperature heat cable is reviewed in the paper,and the application foreground in our country of the cable is estimated; The feasibility of engineering application of the cable is analyzed; the performance, structure parameters, and heat exchange principle and temperature field for the cable is described. The temperature field model of the cable has been designed and calculated by the using of heat transfer theory. The temperature distributing result and graphics for kinds of materials obtained by finite element method indicates the heat exchange process and status of the cable directly.Based on the result, it is shown that the new heat cable is of credible, safe, efficient, energy-saving and environment favorable.
