The open and standardization are important developing orientation of the test technology. The PXI system, which is the leading technology in the instrument-testing field, with characters of high standardization, high performance and price ratio, open nature and easy maintenance, has been using more and more widely. The arbitrary waveform generator is the basic module in constituting PXI system, designing and developing the arbitrary waveform generator PXI module, with perfect performance, has great significance for promoting the development of PXI automatic test technology in our country.The task of this project is to develop double-channel arbitrary waveform generator PXIbus module in 3U size, and this project is from the Spaceflight Test Technology Developing Corporation in Beijing. Integrating the PXIbus technology, direct digital synthesize (DDS) arbitrary waveform technology, high speed and large scale FPGA technology, adopting the system frame with no processor, the project realizes the output and control of double-channel arbitrary waveform. This paper analyzes the system scheme; gives the detailed introduce about the designing of interface circuit in hardware part, the realizing of the direct digital synthesize (DDS) core and patulous control logic based on FPGA, the designing of signal debugging circuit and high speed and compact PCB board; Illustrates the soft panel and driver of the instrument developed under the environment of LabWindows/CVI; at last, summarizes the harvest and the shortage.The project had already completed when write this paper and is successfully checked by collaborator, and it is the first single slot double-channel vector PXI arbitrary waveform generator in the Mainland in our country, and its photograph is provided in appendix.Tallying with PXI2.0 criterion, single slot 3U in size, with 100MS/s sample rate, 12 bits apeak resolution, the storage depth of 128K, double-channel output, the function of frequency and phase debugging, supporting many trigger modes. The function of the instrument is strong, and it has cost predominance compared with the same kind of production in abroad. The module not only can meet the demand of the need in domestic, enlarging export, increasing the arbitrary waveform generator market occupancy ratio, but also can promote the development of the PXIbus test instrument.
