The Design And Realization Of Embedded POS Based On ARM

In recent years, the number of POS(Point of Sale) which we need increases quickly with the develop of retail and finance of the bank. Nowadays ,POS has been applied in many fields, from bank to super market,every walk of life.The article researches and analyses the Embedded wireless POS based on ARM processor. Main researches include: based on the Embedded System and Linux, analyses the possibility of the Embedded POS,begins to select the software and operating system;based on the GPRS and ARM, begins to select the software of the system; It also involves the development of the GUI and database.The article firstly discusses the Embedded System and GPRS, what is the Embedded System,the current application of the Embedded System, analyses the characteristic of Embedded System and the makeup of the Embedded System, the characteristic of the GPRS and the application of it.And then the article analyses the excellence of Linux and Embedded Linux, the application fields of ARM, the sort of the ARM and the system structure of ARM.In succession, the article explains the whole structure of the wireless POS system, the flow of the system development, constitute of the software and hardware, the system which we can develop on it.At last, the article explains the GUI and database of the system.Main work include:the development of the whole system architecture and flow,the GUI and database of the system and the improvement of the original system which based on Windows.At the end of the article author point out some parts which we need to better and bring forward some suggestion to improve it.
