Study On The Application Of Grouting Technique With Bearing Plate In The Reinforced Engineering Of Soil Foundation

In the past decade, the highway construction has been growing in an extremely fast speed in China. Until 2010, there will be 80000 km railways and 36000 km roads built. However, plenty of soft-soil problems are involved in these engineering. Especially in the built railways and roads projects, the subsidence of soft soil would affect traffic severely. Every year, the reinforcements of these soft soil cost much. So, practical and economical treatments of soft soil are very important to the road engineering.The grouting technique is a reinforcement treatment to control leakage or reinforce foundation in the geotechnical engineering. The technique has many advantages, such as: uncomplicated equipment, easy operation with less layout area, small noise and little influence on traffic, short construction period, rapid revenue and flexibly reinforced depth etc. Because of these advantages, this technique is widely used. Especially, in this decade, the grouting technique has been applied abroad in the road engineering. However, the grouting theory and the reliability of grouting technique need further improved. Therefore, according to the situation of grouting engineering, the investigation of this technique is very useful in engineering and has a big economical value.This paper proposes a new grouting technique whose structure is improved so as to advance the bearing capacity of the foundation and the reliability of grouting. An application is presented. The contents are listed as followed:(1) The development and improvement of grouting technique are summarized. And the issue to be solved and the developing direction are discussed.(2) The construction process of the grouting technique with bearing plate is presented. The bearing plate is built before injecting. Usually, in the foundation reinforced project, the original roadbed and pavement'are directly made use of as the plate. When injecting, the bearing plate is preloaded to promote the grouting pressure. As a result, the bearing capacity of the foundation and the reliability of grouting are advanced.
