With the rapid development of modern industries and the increasing size of urban construction, traffic problems have become prominent day by day. Under this condition, subway has quickly climbed to be one of the most important vehicles in cities due to its remarkable characteristics, such as enormous capacity, swift speed, reliable security, punctual departure and arrival, occupying no ground pavements, etc. In China, since the first subway line was established in Beijing in 1967, many cities, such as Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, have boasted of their own subways subsequently. And some other cities, including Nanjing, Shenzhen, Tsingdao, Hangzhou, Dalian, Wuhan, are constructing or planning their subways. It is unquestionable that the subways will play a positive role in the respects of improving the urban traffic conditions, alleviating the traffic jams, reducing the pollutions. As claimed by some experts, the 21st century will be a century in which the underground projects will be developed prominently, and the subways will have a more expansive prospect. However, along with the constant development of metropolitan subway networks, the unceasing advancement of train speed and people's higher demands for living qualities, prevalent attentions have been paid to the environmental problems, say, vibration and noise, induced by trains on subways. Environmental vibration not only influences people's life and work, but also elicits revibration of the buildings around it. Accordingly, work aimed at environmental vibration due to the subways has been performed and listed as follows:1. The research results and situations about environmental vibration induced by loads on subways at home and abroad have been summarized.2. A series of theoretical knowledge and resolving methods in the process of numeric simulation has been represented, including the establishment of the function, the comprehension of the arithmetic, the choice of the elements, the modeling of the soil's boundary, the confirm of the damp etc. This work offers a concrete basic for the following chapters.3. The environmental vibration of the foundation soil and high-rise buildings induced by the moving loads has been modeled. During simulation the former, different velocity and frequency of the load was considered; when it come to the vibration to the high-rise buildings, the results of three different velocity to high-rise buildings of four different distance has been derived. The vibration distribution of every floor was also obtained.4. The whole work done by the author has been summed up at last, and several problems have been broached for the future researches in this field.
