With the increasing conscious of environment prevention and energy economy, people have paid more attention on the additional functions, such as sound insulation, heat preservation, fireproofing and so on, on architecture establishment. The perlite which is a traditional building material, has the advantages which are not in the common building materials. It has started to apply to the market of architecture ornament to replace the precious clay resource. The hydroform machine is common used in perlite industry, which is made from the upper-crossbeam, the active-crossbeam, the lower- crossbeam and the column. In traditional design, these parts' dimension always comes from designer's experience or is designed by analogy. Because the stress distribution and structure is always very complex, designers gives the structure excess simplicity, which made the machine heavy but some key parameters doesn't meet the purpose. To use the traditional layout for reference, I design the new 3MN full-automatic perlite board hydroform machine, and build the assembly modal in Pro/Engineer 2001, then get the finite element modal by the special interface between ANSYS and Pro/E. From static analysis, I get the overall stress distribution of the hydroform machine. From the results, I finally recognize that upper-crossbeam is the target to optimize. After built the upper-crossbeam parameterized modal by ANSYS APDL language and running it, I get the optimal design and the function relationships between design variables and state variables. Comparing the results, the SEQV stress decreases to 53%, the displacement UY decreases to 60%. The analysis gives us theoretically evidence to amend the primitive design.
