The complex soil nailing wall is a new type of foundation ditch shoring in recent years. It is widely used in loose stratum, soft soil stratum and the region where it is abundant of underground water and has high water table. The aim of the paper is to study the load mechanism of soil nailing and anchors, the load mechanism of cement surface,the function mechanism of deep mixing piles and the breakage mechanism of complex soil nailing wall. According to the study of stability and factors which influence foundation ditch, we will have more theory and project guidance about the use of complex soil nailing wall.The emphasis of the paper is to research the shoring characteristic and stability of strengthening- water resisting soil nailing wall which is a kind of complex soil nailing wall in soft soil stratum.1. It is briefly introduced the development situations of soil nailing shoring technology at home and abroad starting from the concept of pure soil nailing wall. Then comparing pure soil nailing wall and complex soil nailing wall, we can get advantages of the latter one. All kinds of shoring forms of complex soil nailing walls and their applied situations are summarized. And the research object is brought forward which is strengthening- water resisting complex soil nailing wall.2. To research the load mechanism of soil nailing,anchors and concrete surface better, the original testing research is carried out with help of practice project. The tests containing soil nailing inside force-reinforcing net test and spraying layer load-earth pressure, which change with the foundation pit digging, are studied. The phenomena are complained by soil arch effect. So we can get valuable test results.3. Summarizing the breakage form of complex soil nailing wall, which includes mixing piles breakage,exterior breakage, interior breakage and surface breakage. The inconsequence which is shear resisting about soil nailing and mixing piles ignored when calculating the stability safety factors of complex soil nailing wall inside, is pointed out. Consequently the shear resisting calculation formulas of soil nailing and mixing piles are educed in term of limit equity.4.
