The noise in city mainly comes from the vehicle and the vehicle noise mostly from the engine. Recently, people keep working on the research of vibration reduction and lower noise in the field of engine and its device. So the pressing task today is to control the radiated noise of engine and its device.This text has given detailed theoretical analysis and test research in many ways to control the radiated noise of the engine and its device. The radiated noise of the dynamical mechanism comes from its surface vibration. Controlling the vibration to reduce the radiated noise is a long-term aim for most researchers. According to the character of the shell component and the relation between the radiated noise and the shell component, this text has given the lower-noise design of three kinds of shell components combined with the enterprise projects.Based on the parameterized entity modeling and finite element analysis of modern design theory and method, this text analyses the traits of the main body of the ZS1OO motorcycle and the oil-pans of the YH465 gasoline engine and the YN4100QB diesel engine and also builds an integrated lower-noise optimization design platform for shell component. This platform includes the three-dimensional entity modeling, the three-dimensional finite element modeling and optimization design based on the finite element analysis result. It also involves the sample test result of the ultimate optimization design. This text puts forward a series of geometry model simplified principle of the shell component, which can solve the transition problem between the three-dimensional geometry model and the three-dimensional finite element model. Experimental model method can be adopted to validate the finite element model. Modern design method can be introduced to optimize the shell component and get the obvious effect.According the modern design pattern which is introduced in this text, the main body of the ZS1OO motorcycle and the oil-pans of the YH465 gasoline engine and the YN4100QB diesel engine can be lower-noise optimized.
