Harmonics pollution of the utility grid has become more and more serious as the wider use of various power electronic devices. And it results in power quality drops and accidents happen. How to effectively restrain harmonics and improve the quality of electric power system has become a hotspot. Thus, the analysis and measurement of harmonics has been one of the most crucial tasks in power system analysis and control.Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is inevitable to cause the spectrum leakage and fence effect because of truncation and discreteness in signal collection. As it is difficult to satisfy synchronous sampling and integral period truncation in practice, harmonic analysis results will be disturbed by the spectrum leakage and fence effect. Because of spectrum leakage and fence effect can be limited by using window functions and interpolation algorithm, an improved algorithm based on interpolation algorithm is presented in this paper. Simulation results show that it improve the measurement accuracy of the harmonic parameters. In this paper, ARM microcontroller is used and embedded real-time operation system μC/OS-II is transplanted in the harmonic measurement and analysis device. The harmonics can be accurately measured by using this device and LCD display along with communication has been realized.
