Soft clay foundation is widely distributed in China and how to choose the economic , reasonable and effective foundation treatment methods to meet the demands of engineering practice has been one of the key problems that concerned by engineering areas. The advantage and disadvantage performances of drained consolidation methods(prefabricated strip drain and bagged sand drain), composite foundation(PHC rigid pile composite foundation and deep mixing pile composite foundation) and dynamic consolidation methods in reinforcement mechanics, design data and foundation deformation were contrast studied by theory and practice. It includes the followings in detail:1 .The differences of reinforcement mechanics and pile-soil stress ratio of the rigid pile composite foundation and flexible pile foundation were contrasted in the paper; The stress situation and loads allocation of composite foundation under flexible and rigid foundation were compared; Conclusions as fowllowing:(1) The pile-soil stress ratio is determined by the pile-soil modulus ratio,pile length and the thickness and modulus of cushion coat.(2) The pile-soil ratio should be inverse articulated by the stress of pile.(3) The bearing capacity of composite is determined by the bearing capacity of the pile the bearing capacity of foundation and the stress distribution capatity of cushion coat.2. The reinforcement mechanics of dynamic consolidation method and traditional drain methods were always compared. And the reinforcement effectiveness of dynamic consolidation was researched by some quantized data.3.The vertical deformation, layered settlement, differential settlement and lateral deformation under different treatment methods were contrast studied.Conlcusinons as fowllowing:The vetical deformation of composite foundation is less than that of drain-comsolidation foundation under the same geological conditions, and so as that of bagged sand drain to prefabricated strip drain;The deformation distribution of composite foundation is more reasonable that of other methods.
