Structural optimization design is a theory and technique which have strong integration and practicality. Because optimization design make the task of calculation mechanics change to the active design and optimization from passive analysis and checkage , it is more difficult and more complicated.Aim to the difficulties which the big structural optimization design have met to, this thesis does the further research and discussion. And these methods are implemented to the engineering project. This thesis comprises the following:1) With regard to the shape optimization of car body of flat which is used to load the container, this thesis uses the module HYPERMORPH of software HYPERMESH , manipulates domain and handle and controls the gridding distortion. Get the good gridding quality and make the preparation for the further shape optimization.2) Various optimization algorithms are considered. Because the characteristic of this thesis is continuous and discrete variable, DOE and numerical optimization technical are combined. DOE are used to get the probable global optimum and Numerical optimization technical is used to get the local accurate optimum. This method not only improves the possibility of finding the global optimum but also improves the efficiency of optimization.3) Based on the integration function and optimization function of platform ISIGHT The software ANSYS is integrated as FEA tool and HYPERMORPH module of HYPERMESH is integrated as controlling the change of shape, size and shape optimization is done to the body of container plat vehicle, at last minimum weight of body is achieved. Tie in the actual project and provide the various referenced information for the engineers.The research in this thesis provides the valuable reference for the further research and application of big structural optimization design.
