According to the world's energy constitution, coal is and will be the primary energy source nowadays and in the foreseeable future. Low combustion efficiency and serious pollution problems come with the behindhand coal combustion facilities and technology. Near zero emission coal is an advanced technology for clean and highly efficient utilization of coal.In this dissertation, the state of arts of the near zero emission coal utilization technology, which based on the CO2 acceptor gasification process was conprehensively reviewed. The flow diagrams were also setup for the equipments and system. Finally, some thoughts were proposed for the further research of the near zero emission coal utilization system. The theoretical thermal equilibrium analysis was carried out for the key technologies of the near zero emission system in this dissertation. The thermodynamical coordinates have been determined after the various subsystem dependent parameters were studied. The various subsystems have been analyzed by the flow sheet software, Aspen Plus. The simulation results were compared with the experimental or reference data. The affected various parameters have been studied by the flow sheets. The integrated performances were also studied by changing the operation modes of the near zero emission system. The carbon dioxide controlling strategies were discussed, and the essential solution measures of carbon dioxide control were elaborated. The research efforts and the preliminary results will put forward the system design, optimization, the research of operation characteristics as well as developing new near zero emission coal utilization system.
