Nowadays in order to satisfy the rapid development of the city construction, the development of the underground space has become the main topic of the construction and development of the city. Based on the large amount of work over the DOT(Double-O-Tube) shield tunnel, the paper makes an explanation of the concept of the DOT shield tunnel and summaries the virtues and disadvantages of it, besides, the current constructing technique and trend are also expounded. These indicate that the DOT shield tunnel technology has the prosperous future and markets in China. So the study on the solutions of the internal forces in the lining of the DOT shield tunnel becomes necessary and a key issue.As well as the DOT shield tunneling technique inherits the advantages of the traditional shield tunneling technique, it also has its unique feature. According to the structural characters of the DOT shield tunnel, the paper generalizes the distribution law of the soil loads on the DOT shield tunnel lining and presents the computational model for the analysis of the DOT shield tunnel based on the structural design theories and computational models of the traditional shield tunnel lining. This paper presents an analytical solution for the prediction of internal forces of a jointed segmental precast DOT lining. Theory on 'Unbalanced Forces Transition method' applied to DOT shield tunnel lining with suggested model has been presented. And with the calculation of a certain project, the numerical simulation method and some data from field measurements are both used to verify the reliability and utility of the analytical solution.According to the internal forces in the lining of the DOT shield tunnel calculated by the proposed analytical solution, the basic law of the internal force distribution of the DOT shield tunnel lining are analyzed and concluded. And several hypothetical conditions are calculated based on different parameters to analyze the influence of different parameters to the internal forces (focus on the shoulder ground pressure, the soil resistance coefficient K_s and the opening angle α) and get the...
