The settlement of the raft foundation has always been a popular topic and many researches have been done on this issue. Yet the related researches on the settlement of the raft foundation under the repeated loadings are still lacking. This thesis, based on a dockyard project, carries out the research for the settlement of the foundation under the effect of the periodic loadings.This thesis, from two aspects, researched and analyzed the deformation of the large-scale raft foundation under the repeated loadings .Through the repeated loadings of the raft foundation in-situ, it measures and surveys the foundation's settlement, the reinforcing bar's stress in the plate and the strain of the concrete to get the settlement of the raft foundation under the effect of the repeated loadings in the original state and also concludes its variation patterns. By carrying out the repeated loadings experiment for the in-situ selected soil indoors, this thesis obtains the soil's parameters in the FEM and its variation patterns under the repeated loadings.Through the theoretical analysis, this thesis respectly adopts the criterion method and FEM to analyze and calculate the settlement of the large-scale raft foundation under the repeated loadings and compares the two results.Lastly, through the comparison of the results of the in-situ soil test and the theoretical analysis, the author comes to the conclusion that it is better to combine the in-situ measure result and that of the theoredical analysis.
