With the development of economy of our country, the unbalanced contradiction between electric power demand and imbalanced distribution of energy resources is becoming sharper. Therefore, it is very important to develop the transmission system that has large capacity and the long-distance range. Along with the promotion of electric lines, the progress trends for transmission tower in future are high-rise, long span and ultra-high voltage. The wind load is one of the main horizontal loads of the transmission towers. The dynamic effect of transmission tower is remarkable under the wind load. This paper mainly studies on the wind-induced vibration coefficient of transmission towers for actual transmission line system, which is designed by our research group. Some conclusions that are applicable to engineering designs are advanced.According to the theory of stochastic vibration, the method of wind-induced vibration coefficient of transmission towers under stochastic wind loads is introduced. And the formula for wind-induced vibration coefficient, which can be used in the design of transmission towers, is discussed. Then, the theoretical method and correlative actual criterions for the wind-induced vibration coefficient of transmission towers are introduced. In terms of the computational method of wind load in transmission tower endogen force analysis soft IGT2.0 (TTA), some information can be obtained from the result documents. Then, the post treatment program, which used for calculate the wind-induced vibration coefficient, is compiled by this information. Through the comparison, some conclusions are proposed in order to supply references for the engineering design aftertime. Utilizes the result of wind-induced response in time domain, the program is checked.Based on the feature of TTA program in wind load calculation, combined with actual project, some solutions about the use of wind-induced vibration coefficient in TTA are recommended.
