Firstly, this paper presents the monitoring method of the shield tunnels driven in close proximity under water. Some valuable results about the shield tunnels driven in close proximity are drawn by data analysis. What's been studied in this paper is as follows(1) The simulation of driving process of shield tunnels is dynamic. The supporting pressure of excavated face, deficient excavation of tunnel, displacement release of tunnel tail,slip-casting layer have been taken into consideration. The deficient excavating of tunnel caused by the deficiency of volume of excavated earth is simulated by the apply of the deficient excavating pressure.(2) Influence to the tunnel in close proximity caused by the volume of excavated earth is simulated. The result of numerical calculation shows that the volume of excavated earth takes a great effect to the tunnel in close proximity. The less the volume of excavated earth is ,the higher the earth pressure between the liner of the completed tunnel and the earth around it is.(3) The slip-casting is simulated. After the hardening of the slip-casting liquid,a support ring will be formed around the tunnel in a certain radius. It takes the effect of absorbing the load, buffling, reducing the effect of extrusion caused by the tunnel constructed in close proximity to protect the completed tunnel from being damaged.
