The full-scope modeling and simulation of PWR power conversion system plays a significant role in the reactor regulation argumentation, design research, operator training, accident analysis etc. Through the modeling and simulation of PWR thermal-hydraulic system, we can ensure the reliability and safety of operation for a reactor. To simulate the full-scope power conversion system, not only the containment, steam generator, pressurizer system and reactor coolant system of nuclear island, but also the main steam system, turbine system, bypass system, feedwater system, condensate system, moisture separator reheater system, low-pressure and high-pressure heaters system of conventional island are all considered and modeled. Based on the power conversion system of nuclear and conventional islands of Dayabay PWR, the author models the thermal-hydraulic systems for PWR by using the best-estimate program-RELAP5. A comparison between the calculated results and the actual data of reactor demonstrates a fine match for Dayabay, and manifests the feasibility in simulating full-scope power conversion system of PWR by RELAP5 at the same time. Then, Through the simulation of some control systems, the paper obtains the transient process from approximate zero FP to 15% FP, points out some factors which will influence the progress and testifies the correctness of the...
