In the existing power system, various vendors and aspects being emphasized of the Energy Management System (EMS) make it difficult to communicate and cooperate between electrical entities. To exchange the power system modeling information, models should be extended. Bus/Branch model is extended to Node/Breaker model to contain more information and support on-line real-time control. The Common Information Model (CIM) is recommended as the standard of modeling. The eXtensible Markup Language (XML) as the carrier of data transmission makes it well-suited. So XML and CIM are integrated to exchange the information. It introduces the extending-methods of the primary elements in the example of three-bus model. Finally, in the experiment of five-bus system, the maneuverability of method and correction of data transmission are validated, and the expecting motive is achieved.
