The accurate measurement of water ratio in turbine oil has great significance in guiding safe and economic operation of a steam turbine in power plant. The main work of this paper is the system research of no-line measuring the water ratio in turbine oil based on the method of microwave resonant cavity perturbation. In this paper, the method was put forward which measuring the water ratio in turbine oil based on the method of microwave resonant cavity perturbation and the measuring principle was expounded. The equation was educed about the relation of equivalent dielectric constant of turbine oil contains water and water ratio in turbine oil. And the resonant cavity was designed used to measuring water ratio in turbine oil. The experimental system was designed which on line measuring the water ratio in turbine oil. The fault diagnosis method of water penetration of turbine oil system was studied based on the on-line water ratio detection through simulation analysis.
