| It has been a trend to solve the problems about increasingly scarce energy and polluted environment by means of the fungible fuel including LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas), DME(Dimethyl Ether) and so on. Now, because of power decrease, LPG engine is limited to use, which can be solved by using direct injection.In this article, author built the 3D model of LPG direct injection engine which is a diesel installed a spark plug on the centre of cylinder cover. The model includes spray model (flash-evaporation model which is introduced at first time for LPG, break-up model and crash model) and combustion model (coherent flame-let model, NOX emission model).The fuel of simulation is only butane instead of LPG.It has gotten across to judge operation capability of engine by thermal efficiency, noise, asperity and emission. Generally speaking, thermal efficiency conflicts with noise and emission. So it needs to consider various factors and adjust the parameters of engine for improving the capability of engine. By changing injection duration, injector size, spark advanced and the structure of combustion room, author found the rule of affection of theseparameters to the capability of LPG direct injection engine.The study indicates that it can improve performance of LPG direct injection engine by selecting the proper injection duration, injector size, spark advanced and the structure of combustion room, which can be the theoretical reference for researching the LPG direct injection engine. |
