Carbon fiber reinforced polymer is a new type of material for structural engineering. CFRPs material is widely used to strengthen the RC members for its merits, such as high strength, lightweight, high corrosion protection, convenient construction, little modification of physical dimension etc. It has been proved an effect method to strengthen the reinforced concrete members with CFRP in engineering through researches of these years. In the case of strengthening RC member with CFRPs, lots of tests and researches have been carried and have received much achievement. In actual engineering, it is usually faced not a single component but a structure and few researches on strengthening frame structures have been reported.Two frame models with two spans and two stories have been conducted and investigated in this paper. One is the frame to be strengthened with CFRPs and one is the frame to be compared. The experiment of the low period dead load is processed for two frame structures. According to the results of the test, the frame's properties such as load-bearing capacity, ductility and energy dissipation capability had been improved after strengthened. It is proved that method strengthened with CFRPs is available. It is concluded the process and flow chart of strengthened with CFRPs. It is also concluded equation of limited ratio with axial force and concrete strength when columns are restricted with CFRPs through analyzing reaction of columns with CFRPs wrapped. This paper takes the lead in giving a solution to anchor CFRPs at joint of frame with angel aluminum(steel). It is analyzed which angel aluminum(steel) used in the experiment with Ansys. In the past, slippage of CFRPs was seldom considered in Ansys. Combin39 is used to simulate slippage between CFRPs and concrete, then this paper analyze slippage of CFRPs when different angel aluminum(steel) is used. At last, it use Ansys analyze the frame on elasticity and plasticity, compare the result of analysis with the result of experiment and find both results were consistent.
