LiNi1-xCoxO2 is considered to be one of the most promising cathode materials for lithium ion batteries in account of its high specific discharge capacity, high inserting voltage, considerate producing condition and low cost, for which it has been applied in industry. However, its unstable structure and large capacity decline limit its extensive application. Based on the investigations of LiNi1-xCoxO2, LiNi1-xCoxO2 modified by lattice doping Mn and Cr is investigated.Cathode materials LiNi0.7Co0.3-xMxO2 (M=Mn, Cr) and LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 were prepared by sol-gel method. The study focused on the morphology, component, oxidation state of elements, crystal structure and electrochemical characteristics of the samples. The influences of calcination temperature on the structure and electrochemical properties for LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 were also investigated. Results indicate that the materials modified by Mn doping exhibit practical value. LiNi0.7Co0.3-xMnxO2(0 |
