Research On Sustainable Strategy In The Product Design And Development

With the development of industrial society, all kinds of means that can lead to more demands of material and higher consumption are taken to maximize economic benefits. It accelerated the environmental degradation and natural recourses depletion.Fortunately,people are becoming aware of serious sequent of nature resources abusing and devouring. Some enterprises established design strategies in order to develop their products sustainability. By these means, enterprises not only fulfill needs of costumers who prefer green products, but also exalt their integer identity. There will be a win-win situation. Sustainable design of products will bridge between environmental protection and enterprises'development. So there must be an environment protecting goal to be set down at the beginning of a product design. According to the very goal, short and long term strategies of product development should be established. At the same time, the technology of green design, design method, assessment method and design strategy should be taken to an account.On the other hand, most of domestic enterprises didn't take the issue seriously. As a result, they didn't carry out specific sustainable strategy. However, some globe enterprises do research on sustainable strategy for a long time and make sustainability report every year.Accordingly, sustainable design plays an important role in design strategy. The major idea of this paper is going to research on these issues mentioned before.
