Research On The Guard System For Power Cable Based On Power Line Carrier

Theft of power cables have caused a serious security threat and property losses to the power department,in this article design a new system of guarding with alarm based on the power carrier combined with GSM network. according to the characteristic of the power line communication channel and alarm system, carrier communication through spread spectrum modulation and demodulation circuit is to be achieved.The whole system consists of the host station and circuitry probing terminals. While the system is working, the host station can communicate with every circuitry probing terminal and judge if theft of power cables happened or not according to the state of communication or information of terminals. Once abnormal state appears, calls and short message of alarming can be made to the guard person in the long-rang guard station by GSM network.This system was proved working well during the test in the scene for several months, and.
