| Gas-turbine inlet air cooling has been considered for boosting the power output during hot seasons. Several cooling technologies is introduced such as evaporative cooler, absorption cooler, vapour compression cooler and ice storage cooler. Considering gas turbine's temperature-performance characteristic, meteorological year data, gas price and electricity price, the paper provided a methodology to evaluate the economy of different cooling technologies. In this paper, this method has been applied as an example to a GE PG6561B gas turbine model with different GT inlet air cooling systems.
