With the development of power market, people put a more request for the power system econemyand stability, so the operation environment of the system has become worse. Hence it is a very important question that how to combine the security and economy of the system.Calculating total transfer capability is especially important to the operating of power system. Because the traditional methods didn't consider rhe transient sanction, their results are not exact enough. This paper sets up optimal power flow model to calculate TTC, appending transient sanction to the calculation process, the max of power flow on the link line as the target function, then solve the problem of parameter optimization. On the same time, the paper uses sequential unconstrained minimigation technique to deal with sanctions of all equations and inequations so that forming Lagrange function, and then optimizing the parameters using DFD method. The resultsof 39-notes system and Anhui system computio s show that the method which is used in this paper can lead to exacter results.
