There lies a behavior between rigid regularity and randomness based on pure chance. It calls a chaotic system, or chaos for short. In recent years, with the research of chaos theory, its application has become one of important issues and forefront projects, chaos are shown to have great future in the engineering applications by the detailed analysis of five types of chaos optimization methods, and the thorough study and experiments of its applications in the fields of power control systems. The main contributions of this dissertation are as follows:1. Based on the deeper analysis and research three typical chaos systems and two kinds of chaos optimization methods, three types of improved chaos optimization strategies are proposed Through quantitative simulation, the performances of above-mentioned algorithms are investigated and compared for its next step application.2. Aimed at single variable control system, take the hydro turbine governing system as an example, twice carrier chaos optimization method is applied to optimal parameter design of single neuron PID adaptive controller. Take the turbine governing system for example, a new chaos optimization algorithm which mixes stepped-up chaos optimization algorithm and mutative scale strategy is proposed, which can speed up the parameters optimum search of the fuzzy-immune-PID controller. Simulation results demonstrate that these methods are simple and easy to implement, and are effective for nonlinear optimization problem.3. For complicated multivariable coordinated control system, an annealing improved mutative scale chaos optimization algorithm is proposed and used to optimal tuning of diagonal recurrent neural network PID controller parameters. Simulation results prove that the method is more obvious to improving of the control performances.4. Chaos random optimization algorithm is introduced to parameter identification of dynamic load model and the results show that its validity and accuracy.All of the work expands the application area of chaos optimization and reveals its effectiveness and practicality in practice.
