The problem of integrative control of the anti-lock braking system and the regenerative braking system has been the crucial for the production process of the hybrid electric vehicle. The brake system for hybrid electric vehicle is composed of the anti-lock braking system and the regenerative braking system. As the braking force distribution to the front and rear axles has great influence on the braking stability, the regenerative braking force has much more effect on the braking stability. Meanwhile, the regenerative braking force also has much more effect on the original hydraulic anti-lock braking system.The study work in this paper starts from the integrative control of the anti-lock braking system and the regenerative braking system, with the regenerative braking force distribution and control strategy and the control logic of the anti-lock braking involved. The contents of this paper can be divided into four aspects as follows:1) By referring to a great number of conferences, the design scheme of the integrative control system of regenerative braking and the anti-lock braking is proposed in this paper according to the structure of the hybrid electric vehicle.2) As the braking force distribution to the front and rear axles has great influence on the braking stability, and the regenerative braking force has much more effect on the braking stability. Therefore a new regenerative braking control strategy for HEV is presented in this paper according to the requirement of the braking strategy.3) The anti-lock braking control logic is designed in the paper for HEV according to the theory of the logic-threshold control method. And the hybrid electric vehicle integrative braking control system is made through integrating the control logic of antilock braking system and regenerative braking system into a braking control system.4) A simulation model of the integrative control system is developed in the paper, in order to test the control strategy for the integrative control system under the platform of Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow.Throught the analysis from the theory and the simulation, it can be conclude that the integrative control statery for the HEV braking system not only ensures the braking safty and stability but also has the ability to recycle the braking energy.
