Hybrid technology is taken as one of the most promising technologies for clean vehicles through world wide. Since this century, China has also put a lot of efforts to rapid the commercialization process of hybrid electric vehicles, wishing to save energies and decrease pollutions. Compared with conventional vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles have better fuel emission and fuel economy, which come from better system efficiency. Therefore, analysis on system efficiency for parallel hybrid electric vehicles is investigated, while working on the national 863 project Control System for Jiefang Hybrid Electric Transit Bus.Through the analysis on power flowage of HEV, the issue on the energy conversion for a second time is put forward, which has a significant impact on system efficiency and fuel economy. At this point, a series of measures are taken to analyse the system efficiency. Jilin University shoulders one the 863 Project: the development of control system of hybrid electric transit bus power train.Depending on this project, the thesis is about the analysis on system efficiency of hybrid electric city bus. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, introduce and analyse the performance and efficiency of the power train components of FAW CA6110HEV and then study on the primary parts to make the foundation for the future research and development.Secondly, according to the experimentation, build the fuzzy simulation model and the control strategy for FAW CA6110HEV parallel hybrid electric bus in Matlab/Simulink.Thirdly, study on the present control strategy of CA6110HEV putting the emphases on the system efficiency. And then advance the issue on energy conversion for a second time.Based on this problem,bring forward the control strategy whose target is to balance SOC of the battery. And build control strategy simulation model based on this strategy. Take the simulation experiment in ADVISOR2002.Finally, in different driving cycles, the simulation result which is according to the strategy after improving is compared with the result which is according to thestrategy before improving. Analyse the differences between system efficiencies and fuel economies. At last, make the conclusion to the problem of analysis on the parallel hybrid electric city bus.
