The 21`th century is an era of automobile, Along with the unceasing advance of science and technology and the development of economy, more and more advanced technique that used on automobile makes the performance of automobile get great raising, at the same time, the automobile possess quantity grows increasingly. To be able to inspect the performance of automobile in time, guarantee automobile reliability and safety, automobile detection technology looks the more importance.At present stage, the phenomena of overload and out-of-gauge load have caused serious damage to our country's highway transportation. In view of this, the transportation management departments should adopt relevant measures to put the situation in order. Some trucks and vehicle manufacturers or vehicle modification factories, pursuing illegal benefits, would do automobile modifications that are against the governmental rules and regulations. In order to put things under control in a fundamental way, we need sufficient technological support to monitor the technical onditions of the vehicle.At the present time, in the field of vehicle measuring, the measuring of vehicle body dimensions and contour are comparatively less developed in technological sense. There is not a settled set of measuring equipments which can be used conveniently and flexibly. The traditional 3-dimention measuring methods include manual measuring, mechanic/optical/electromagnetic measuring devices, etc. Our country's vehicle measuring institutions mainly adopt manual operation, using steel tapes, bevel protractors, measuring bars, etc., which means high labor intensity, long operation time and low efficiency. It can not accomplish on-line automatic measuring. Industrial 3-dimention measuring mainly uses three-coordinates measuring machine, which employs the point contact way of measuring. This machine is bulky, complicated in structure, quite demanding in measuring conditions. What's more, it's very expensive. So to speak, it is unfit for being applied in vehicle measuring operations. Therefore, it is of great importance for us to research and further develop the vehicle 3-dimension figure projective identification system.This tractate takes a brand-new angle in studying and analyzing the problem of vehicle 3-dimension figure projective measuring. Introduced the optics projection theory/ techno- raster/ techno-photoelectric conversion in this vehicle 3-dimension figure projective measure, and we have acquired quite perfect effect. Expatiated the theory of vehicle 3-dimension figure projective measure, and discussed how to devise the course about the system at length, which include: mechanism design, photoelectric signal conversion of the raster and storage, collected the data of system and software design.The central contents of this paper:1. In this part, discussed the system composing, function at every part, principle and working course.3. According to the working course and the method of modularization to design software system, to carry out control/data collection/data processing/data conserve/result display etc. 4. Calibration of the measuring system and real vehicle measuring, through calibration of the measuring system as well as real vehicle measuring, we can process, analyze and access the relevant data we get. In this section, the author also makes a detailed discussion of the mechanism and factors by which the system may produce error, and then it probes into some possible improving methods.This measuring system mainly has following features:1. The system is of high flexibility in application.The vehicle three-dimension figure projection discriminating system can work the system is condition on automobile running, measure the data of figure fleetly. Besides, it can also accomplish the intra- and inter- network by using serial interface cards. Therefore, this system can be extensively used in measuring lines of various sizes, no matter large, medium or small.
