The main content of this dissertation is about the oscillation of the high-speed whip of controllability and stability of tractor-trailer. The snaking characteristic of the tractor-trailer not only enhances the requirement on the road width, but also brings in the hidden problems on security. To this point, it has significant meanings and engineering application values to do research on controllability and stability of tractor trailer.Plenty of qualitative and quantitative researches have been done on the tractor trailer. However, most of them focused on the study of semi-trailer In China, tractor-trailer is not allowed to driving on the expressway, which makes the study in this field fall behind. In author's point of view, the application of tractor-trailer is still broad. It can be applied in many places such as the airport, landing, train station, mine and so on. Therefore, the research on such field couldn't be ignored. By contraries, it should be paid more attention. Through doing domestic and foreign literature research on this subject, I tried to provide a new measure on the snaking of the tractor trailer by the simulation of scale model with dynamics tractor-trailer model and computer simulation. The mathematical model is developed by the parameterized quantitative analysis method, which determines the effect upon the stability by using Matlab to analyze the kinematics parameters and configuration parameters. The similar model made by similarity theory and test data ameliorates the existing road surface, and then design, set and debug the test system. It resets the locomotion parameters, which are outside the sensor test region by computer vision and high-speed photography metrical system.The results show that the method combined with the modeling of vehicle dynamics, simulation and scale model test, which lives up to theory-test theory, can availably make up the disadvantage on the singular way. At the same time, the research on the tractor-trailer is has its significance both in theory and engineering.
