Hybrid structures can utilize the deferent material characteristics and structural performances sufficiently; it was often used on super high-rise buildings. The differential shortening of hybrid structures is inevitable to high-rise buildings.Taking the concrete creep and shrinkage, the temperature difference between inside and outside of the structure and the temperature gradient of the outside columns into account, the differential shortening between columns and core-wall on hybrid structure of the steel reinforced concrete frame & reinforced concrete core-wall subjected to vertical loads ,and additional internal forces by the differential shortening is analyzed in this paper.According to the theory, factors affecting on the differential shortening is analyzed, calculation of the differential shortening on factors and calculating assumption is given. By the finite element program sap2000, the shortening and differential shortening between columns and core-wall of the structure are calculated under different operation condition; According to the results, the elastic compression, the concrete creep and shrinkage and the temperature difference have their own effect on the shortening and differential shortening of the structure.Contrast analysis on the method of the once load and loading the structure floor by floor, the theory calculation of two methods on the differential shortening is given. According to the results, two methods are considerable difference.Additional shearing force, additional moment and additional axial force of the structure by the differential shortening are studied.On the basis of analysis on the differential shortening the control measures of the differential shortening are discussed from three aspects including structural design, construction measure and concrete material.
