The steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete structure was a kind of new structure style. As a result of higher carrying capacity, stronger rigidity, the better earthquake resistance performance and the durability, the steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete structure is widely used in the high-rise buildings, the long-span and heavy-load structure. Because the research of the steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete structure was just beginning in our country, the systemic design theory and method about the structure was few, so it was necessary to systematically study the basic members of the steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete structure, and reveal their mechanical behaviours as well as establish their calculation theory and design method. In addition, with wide application of the finite element software in structural engineering research, the finite element analysis of the basic members of the steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete structure became feasible, then their static and dynamic behaviours can be further analyzed by the combination of theoretical analysis and experimental study.In this paper, based on the experimental study of four different eccentricity steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete columns, their failure mechanism, failure patterns and internal mechanical behaviours were revealed; the cracking load and corresponding deflection, the ultimate load and corresponding deflection, the crack shape and developing process were ascertained; the linear distribution hypothesis of average stress along the section height of the steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete eccentric columns was validated. The method, principle and technology was discussed to actualize nonlinearly finite element analysis of the steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete columns by ANSYS program. Combined the experimental results and the research achievements of home and abroad scholars, the nonlinear analysis of four different eccentricity steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete columns was analyzed through ANSYS program. The contrast analysis shows that analytic results are corresponding with the experimental ones, and on condition that constitutive model and failure criterion of materials is accurate, the nonlinear analysis or numerical simulation of steel reinforced high-strength and high-performance concrete columns is feasible.
