With the effective control of the other noise source and the increase of the velocity, the aerodynamic noise around ground vehicles at high speeds has become increasingly important and in more and more cases dominates the vehicle noise. This noise effect the driver's comfort seriously and exterior environment. It is therefore crucial to carry out the study of aerodynamic noise and explore proper countermeasures for suppressing its contribution to the vehicle noise. The study of the aerodynamic noise is more and more favor in the world actually.The study actuality and conclusion in home and aboard is discussed. The mostly content is put forward namely: recommend the theories and study methods of the aerodynamic noise, make a try to have a simulation of aerodynamic noise for the vehicle with high speed and rear-mirror the simultaneity.In this paper, the theory of classic aerodynamic acoustics is applied to vehicle engineer. According to the realistic situation, with extensive consideration of the effects of road conditions and the vehicle movement etc on it, Lighthill's equation is solved to obtain the integral formulation for the calculation of the flow noise outside the vehicle. Meanwhile, the characteristics of the field , the flow pattern around the vehicle, fluctuation of pressure on surface and induced noise are further investigated through wind tunnel (for scaled models) and road testing (for a real vehicle) are carried out.At the same time, the simulation of aerodynamic noise is the most of the paper, but it is only primary and tentative.Ford variable is the model which will be calculated. To catch the flow field characteristics, the computational domain must be big enough. The domain is a cube, which width is 5 times width of the model, the height is 5 times of the model, and the length is 8 times the model.Because the shape of the Ford model is simple and the simulation request...
