Besides the traction loads, along the electrified railway there are also many other kinds of loads such as the illumination and power loads. These kinds of loads exist along with the construction, running and development of the electrified railway. But there is a period of time that people do not impose adequacy emphasis on them, so they were lacked the deep-in research and discussions. So this situation results in the problem that these kinds of loads are not insured and this kind of situation also made the payments for these loads not live up to the wealth of the money. If we can get access to the high quality of power source from the electrified railway traction directly, we can solve the problem efficiently. But the electrified railway traction is a one-phase AC source, and at low quality with the high proportion of harmonic wave and fluctuating voltage. So there is a point to research how to translate this kind of power source into three-phase AC source with stable voltage, low proportion of harmonic wave and symmetry three-phase power source.The basic principle of the one-phase to three-phase AC sources is discussed in the paper. Several schemes and control rules about the one-phase to three-phase power source transform are analyzed and compared. The math models of one-phase to three-phase power source transform, railway traction power supply system, and electric power locomotive are derived via using the MATLAB/Simulink to simulate and analyze the power quality of the three-phase AC source gotten from the electrified railway traction at several typical working conditions. The simulation results indicate that the symmetry three-phase AC source may be obtained from the traction if parallel connection capacitance-inductance and double capacitances transform principle at the condition of symmetry loads of there-phase are used.
