During the operation of coal-fired boiler, heat-transferring surface inevitably encounters fouling problem, which has a negative effect on reliability and economy of units. Steam soot-blowing is an effective method to clean fouling. It is necessary to optimize soot-blowing, now the productions are centralized on optimizing soot-blowing periods. Refer to the existing literature, although some problems. Such as choosing of steam pressure, setting of blowing time, and so on. This dissertation not only research on soot-blowing periods, but also takes up with soot-blowing controlling parameters for operation personal.Based on the available research, an analysis on mechanism of soot sediment and blowing is presented. Combining with heat transfer theory, fouling variation model was deduced. Combining with ultrasonic measuring on temperature and flow, a soft-sensing method based on thermal balance theory was presented. Fouling curve was drafted by soft-sensing result.Based on the research of two kinds of traditional soot-blowing optimizing models, an economic analysis on soot-blowing was presented. Safety problem was also researched here. A better model of soot-blowing optimization was presented by correcting the traditional ones. Blowing parameters are involved in model, which were optimized by IGA. Compared with traditional ones, not only blowing periods, but also the blowing parameters could be solved.Inspecting data of a 300MW power plant economizer was used to carry out optimization of soot-blowing with different models. Compared with the traditional optimized blowing parameters, model in this paper gives a better thermal efficiency with a safe boiler operation. So it is feasible to apply IGA on soot-blowing optimization.In one word, based on the research of two kinds of traditional soot-blowing optimizing models, an economic analysis on soot-blowing was presented and Safety problem was also researched here. Blowing parameters are involved in model, which were optimized by IGA. Compared with the traditional optimized blowing parameters, model in this paper gives a better parameter setting and thermal efficiency with a safe boiler operation, which has a good supervised meaning.
