Measurement of power performance and power quality of wind turbine is not only an essential part of wind turbine type certification, but also a main approach to evaluate the performance of a wind farm. The methodology of measurement is studied and measurement scheme based on IEC standards is given in this thesis. The flicker meter that suitable for wind generation is also studied and the error of low frequency band of IEC's flicker meter is reduced.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1) IEC standards of wind turbine power performance testing are investigated and compared. The measurement scheme and equipments deployment based on IEC standards are proposed, respectively.(2) The methodology and procedure of wind farm power performance testing is studied.Then the equipments deployment and measurement scheme are presented.(3) The methodology of power quality measurement of wind turbine is described. The measurement scheme and instruments deployment based on IEC standards are given. The methodology of assessment of flicker and harmonics due to wind farm is investigated. Then, taking a sample power system for an example, the harmonic current, flicker and its transfer in grid under the continuous and switching operation of wind farm are calculated, respectively.(4) The digital flicker meter based on IEC standard is simulated. The results show that the accuracy in low frequency band needs to be improved in order to make it more suitable for wind power generation. By analyzing the reason of error, a method of amending the parameter of weighted filter is presented, which can reduce the error of flicker meter in low frequency band while doesn't affect the accuracy in high frequency band.
