Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analyses Of The Vertical Bearing Behavior Of Pile Foundations With Defective Piles

It is common that some of pile foundations contain defective piles in engineering of pile foundations; The usual form defect of piles include the party rupture of piles, the party enlarged of piles and the party necked-in of piles, etc. Nowerdays the analyses of working behaviour and mechanism of the pile foundations with defective piles are not too much. It is still on the breakway phrase, and most of the analyses are mainly focused on the individual pile with defect. In this precondition, we analyse the load-bearing behavior and the working mechanism of pile foundations with defective pile under vertical loadings.In this book, we analyse the load-bearing behavior and working mechanism of pile foundations with defective piles under vertical loadings with the method of three- dimesional finite element, and through comparing with the relevant result of pile foundation without defective piles, we conclude the working characteristics of each pile foundation with defective piles under vertical loadings, and through comparing the curve of P-S of pile foundation with different defective piles with pile foundation without defective piles we conclude the working behavour of pile fonundation with rupture piles, enlarged piles or nicked piles. And through comparing the distribution of the pressure on the the different depth of piles, the changing of ending force of piles with the vertical loadings and the moment of raft of each pile foundation with different defective piles with the pile foundation without defective piles, we conclude the working mechanicsm of pile foundations with different defective piles relative to the pile foundations without defective piles. The research reveals the regularity of the effect of the defective piles contributing to the whole load-bearing characteristic of pile foundations; it contains important guiding significance to the analysing and estimating the characteristic of load-bearing of the whole pile foundations and the engineering technique to deal with it when the defective piles are detected.
